Never give up

by jessie   Apr 9, 2005

Hearing the drums from afar,
The marches echoing towards us.
We are not made to live forever,
We shall attach at dawn.

The night before is always quiet,
Seeing the men’s distress.
Only the lucky will emerge from this fight,
The others will all be dead.

They are solders who are proud,
Fighting for their beliefs.
Making a difference in this world,
Trying to create peace.

Some may succeed,
Others will perish.
But they never did give up,
Even when it was hopeless.

We should remember these men,
Their bravery admired.
For they always did have faith,
And were loyal to their loved ones.
