Awaiting the waves

by jessie   Mar 18, 2006

The white sand stuck to her toes,
His tender touch on her lips,
Holding the single red rose,
They went past the waves for a dip.

Remembering his deep blue eyes,
His tender spoken voice,
She wakes with a sudden rise,
Knowing she must await her poise.

Could he call today?
Or will she have to wait,
What would he have to say?
Was she really too late?

Questions filling her mind,
Remembering why she was left to cry,
She thought she would be able to find,
That boy who stopped her sighs.

Once again she sings a tune,
One more day with him,
Hoping that one day soon,
She wouldn't be as dim,

The white sand stuck to her toes,
His tender touch on her lips,
Holding the single red rose,
They went past the waves for a dip.

Memories coming and gone,
A night once cherished within,
They stayed up way past dawn,
Goosebumps all over her skin,

You were my angel,
My guidance and light,
I was freed from the yells,
To become rejoiced with might.
