Innocents

The innocents of a child
taken away in one night
nothing they could do about it
she was dead, out of sight

All she did was went to a party
someone slipped a pill
her drink just sitting there
had it taken a spill

She picked it up
and started to drink
a guy offered her a ride
she excepted out of her mind

She was found early morning
laying in her drive way
she was raped to death
no one had even knew it

Her mother wondered
how could they do it
she was only 16
had they even knew it

Everyone was so upset
when they woke up that morning
to find there daughter dead
what a dread

At her funeral
there were all of her friends
they were at the party to
but they didn't put down there drink

So teach you children over and over
because you never know
all it takes is one time
so don't let the drink go
