Little Ballerina

by Lushed   Apr 12, 2005

Pink.
Soft.
Proper and prim.
Such a child.
Unblemished.
Yet,
Great hope lies within.

Little Ballerina.
Spinning around.
Child of uncertainty.
Never,
both feet on the ground.

Straight as a pin.
Thoughts lost within.
Continue
to dance.
Continue
to spin.

A windowsill
Wide open
So bright.
Looking forward.
Into the blinding light.

what a fantastic piece. i love the element of hope throughout it all. the ending stanza is particularily complementary to the whole theme.

    what a sweet piece.
