The Jump

by Psychotic Tendencies   Apr 14, 2005

Insanity and madness
dissipate in a thick fog
of reality

Opening up to reveal
that it was reality all along
as she stands in the line

wearing a white robe
following the others
daily life drags out slowly

the diversions
the talks
the whole of it all

the only escape is outside
she thinks about it at night
watching the cameras

thinking about
the freedom she had
she waits to show them

she will prove to them how sane
she is by running out of her room
and up to the roof

standing at the top of the asylum
she jumps
and thinks only of victory
