The Maze of My Soul

by Drake Takeyama   Apr 15, 2005

As I walk about, gazing at the rooms.
Lost as a robber in a Pharoh's tomb.

Doors and stairs and traps linger within my soul.
Finding the right door alive can start to take its toll.

Now I see an anceint pool of blackened blood.
Seeing her there cause my tears to flood.

As the floor beneath me falls I hang on for my life.
Down below I see again my sombre loving wife.

Once back up I look with dread.
There she lays up ahead.

Here it is the final door, or so it may appear.
Behind this door are two more yet to fear.

One to darkness one to light, which one shall I take?
Looking at my final choice I fear my last mistake.

Which door, is true for me?
The door to darkness?
The door to light?
Which one shall it be?

Only one holds my true destiny.
