Love, Hate and Life

by Ð맆îñ¥   Apr 16, 2005

Spinning round on my fairground ride
Shifting direction with the change of the tide
Life curling round with a sneer on its face
Forced apart, I’m gasping in the space

The unravelled wool, the claws at the tip
Content purring, an unknown misfit
I think I have it all but it’s gambled away
Endlessly searching each dawdling day

The howls are hollow and hurting my head
Long working day but no chance of bed
Galleries opened, portraits of dread
My feet left behind me on paths I have tread

The gods are awake and holding my hand
I’m wandering what evils for me they have planned
My eyes are weary and of you they slight
Ignore you, and hate you and want you they might

Tied at the waist my mind is appalled
I always came running the moment you called
Time is unsteady; I’m reaching the front
You words are hacking me and the blade is blunt
