Comfort from a Knowing Friend

by Ð맆îñ¥   Apr 17, 2005

The corners are sharp yet comforting
The weight presses gently on my chest
The soft chill circles my neck
Makes me believe I can do my best

When distressed the metal is there for me
I love to feel its touch
I know it won’t desert me
I always want it so much

People sometimes see me and tell me that they care
But I have no illusions
I know they won’t always be there
Only this can reassure me

It will see me at my worst
I won’t blindly stumble on
I may yet be cursed
And may still be frowned upon

But I’m alive and I’ll make it
Little helps me along
But my knowing friend will be there
So I will know when I do wrong

Excellent read Jemma. When down and
out, even when friends can’t understand.
You always have yourself, in your heart
you know what is right and wrong. Only
you can make you happy. Turn that negative
to positive thinking and always love you.

Why the 1vote? Because they are saying,
“This is 1 Great Write” 5/5 all the way. ( :
