The Wounded Poet: Part II

by Steve   Apr 18, 2005

I'm alone,
Although not completely alone
The souls of the damned all surround me
They show me everything you want to be
And the stuff you want no-one else to see.
I see what goes on with you,
The stuff you say,
The stuff you do.
I know it, so don't try and hide it
Who am I?
Don't you know?
I'm your darkest fears,
I'm your worst nightmares,
No, I'm not you
I'm the wounded poet
The only one to have died on the inside
And lived to bide
My time ever longer
And although my soul is here no longer
Times have seen my mind grow stronger

I agree with Rachel on this but it's still a great poem! Keep up all the good work! Take Care!

Not as strong as the first but still a good piece. I like the random pattern - I know a contradiction but shows a lot of promise xx
