A Little Hope

The tears are flowing,
But for a different reason.
Everything ISN’T hopeless.
Our friendship can be SAVED!
My spirits have been
Lifted by just one compassionate
Phrase that was shared between us.
Everything isn’t “Normal”
But this start has given me
Great hope for what could come.
Now I can stop worrying
If you hate me.
Now I have to concentrate
On getting us back to the
Way we used to be
Or at least something as
Great has our friendship was.
One little shared phrase has
Given me a little hope for
This broken friendship.
