Good Night to the World

by Celia   Apr 21, 2005

I close my eyes at the cruel world, I am naive to the evils of man.
I'll dig my grave before I say good night to the world.

I frown down upon the lesser kind, I turn my back on the loved ones. I'll make my headstone before I say good night to the world.

I shy away at the kind words from another, I look up to the murders and the insane.
I'll polish my nails and wipe my face before I say good night to the world.

I praise the one above, I raise my hand to speak my words.
I'll cover the bruises before I say good night to the world.

I fight the loved ones, while I love the hated ones.
I'll sew the cuts before I say good night to the world.

I cover my ears to drown out hatred, I bite my nails to release stress.
I kiss my loved one before I say good night to the world.

I sleep to pass the time, I hide in the corner to help with the passing. I'll take an assortment of pills before I say good night to the world.
