The weakest iron.

by miaowmolly   Apr 23, 2005

No ones there to help,
no ones there to dry her tears,
the ones she never let go,
the ones she kept for all these years,

She knows she cant let go,
she knows theres no escape,
so she carries on,
and all her life she will scrape,

Staying strong for just one person,
putting on her brave face,
acting like she's iron,
just to keep the pace,

laughing with their jokes,
smiling with her friends,
she keeps in all the emotions,
and she still pretends,

she tries when she goes home,
to act like she's OK,
to push it all aside,
and tell herself shes lucky,

But she knows the irons cracking,
and tries to keep it in,
Inside shes fighting demons,
and the demons always win,

Breaking down in tears,
she reaches for her gun,
she knows if she pulls the trigger,
thats it her life is done,

so she puts it back,
and dials a number on her phone,
the person isn't answering,
and once again shes all alone.

this is really deep. maybe too deep for my pea brain, but i can at least appreciate its complexity.
