Is this girl really me?

Everyone has a dream
Of who they wish to be
I just dream of being
Anyone but me..

They tell me that im "beautiful"
And it doesn't make me mad
But they don't see what im seeing
So they don't know why it makes me sad

I'm sorry that I see this
But what I say is true
You don't know what its like
You don't even have a clue

My reflection is my enemy
I wish that she would die
Because when I take a look at her
I want to break down and cry

No matter how hard I attempt
I can never truly see
Is this just my imagination
Or is this girl really me?

    ---you handled the simplicity of it very well in that stanza (my fave btw) and oh, line 17 should be atteMpt*
