You told me you wouldn't hurt me
You told me that you cared
You said that we'd be together
Well, it turned out that you lied

You did hurt me,
and you did lie
And I have myself convinced
I don't need you in my life

I've locked up my heart
I've made a new key
I've changed the number to my soul
I've moved to a new state of me

If you ever decide to come back
You won't find me where you left me
You won't find me lying broken-hearted
Sprawled out on the floor

I've gotten myself a new life
I'm happy for the first time
Don't try to change that, don't you even dare
Don't try to understand, don't tell me you still care

It's my turn to say good-bye
After all the s.h.i.t you put me through
I can't stand to see you now
I'm the one walking away now
And there's nothing you can do.
