The Inside

by Carmen   Apr 26, 2005

She held it up high
Then close to her arm
It would relieve all her stress
And replace it with harm

She started off gently
Approaching, red blood
She stabbed it in deeper
It started to flood

It bubbled up high
And started to sink
It turned dark purple
Then it was pink

Finally, satisfied
She started to cry
She asked herself…
Why, she was living a lie

She said to herself
She’ll never confide
And left all her tension
Boiling inside
