Untitled (but good)

What do you do
When you're all alone
And you can't stand the pain
How do you hold it in
Keep from lashing out
When you're drowning in your tears
And your heart is cold and hard
How do you breathe
When your insides are seething
And your blood is set to boil
When hate becomes your ruler
And anger sweeps through
How can you hold on
When you lose your soul
Does it ever come back
Are you really ever the same
How do explain a bad day
When every day is bad
It's hard to explain the newest scar
When you can't explain the last
When all you see is darkness
You shrink down from the sun
When you're used to being cold
You don't want heat
For fear of being burnt
Though a violent fire
Rages deep inside
Is it really possible to emerge from a cage
To which you've long grown accustomed?
