Through the Eyes Of a Child

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Apr 27, 2005

Through the eyes of a child,
So innocent and pure.
Through the eyes of a child,
Lies a world of promised future.

These lies,
Hidden from the children.
These lies,
A hope for a better life.

So innocent and pure,
The child knows no more
Than what he is taught.

Through the eyes of a child,
An apology is all it takes.
Through the eyes of a child,
There are no real mistakes.

Hidden lies,
People wanting them to be true.
Hidden truth,
People protecting their youth.

The child knows no more
Than what he is taught.
Through the eyes of a child,
What would we see?
