Unnamed 004

*check the comments for a summary*

we spoke the silent words of love most true,
and in that moment one and one were two.

then He came and stole thy love and mine
from thence shall come the meter and the rhyme

our circle, perfect, pure -- unscathed by sin;
that simple motion caused the fall of men.

the fourth drew near, and our eyes closed to Him.
our circle died upon a sullen whim.

blame not the darken’d shade in whom we owe
our fall from grace and all our earthly woe

now two are we again, and so shall stay
we’ve erred (as children do) and lost our way

    I found a masterpiece! I just wrote an Adam & Eve poem called "Tree of Knowledge" so this poem was especially interesting to me. Keep up the great work 5!

    this is actually about adam and eve
    "He" is God, coming into their lives
    the "fourth" is the serpent in the garden of eden

    there is a paradox within the poem as well.
