Keeping a vigil

by Timothy   Apr 28, 2005

It's a lonely night,
Staring into a starless black;
There's no warmth in my bones,
Wondering if you will ever come back.

I try to remember your touch,
The wetness of that splendorous kiss;
It's the security of your arms,
That I so desperately miss.

The weather is intolerable,
But inside it's so much worse;
Fogging up the window at my perpetual post,
I'm keeping a vigil, and my devotion is what utterly hurts.

    That's so sad! Very well written! Your choice of words said it all in a short poem. I bet your novel will turn out great. You have a lot of talent! Take Care~! Brooke 5/5
