Things will be alright

Why would you hit me
is it something I did or didn't do
is it something I said
or put you through
I know I may be difficult
and at times I may complain
but I don't mean to make you mad
or ever cause you pain
I know I may be sarcastic
and may not always have nice things to say
but I don't like you hurting me
even if you've had a bad day
I'll take what I deserve
even if it causes me to cry
but please never doubt me
because to you I'd never lie
I am strong
and can take the pain
because you can't see the sunshine
unless you wait through the rain
you may hit me
or even break my bone
but thats better then what I do to myself
when I'm left alone
I know you will get over this
it's just another stupid fight
but time will get me through
and soon things will be alright...
