Obsolescence

by Ð맆îñ¥   May 2, 2005

The piccolo’s tune dances upon what I was
The oddments of the room do not surprise me
I have studied the truths of life but found too many lies
The cracks are starting to show

Even in a world so near being occult
The ocean buries our secrets in odious ways
Death demands respect
Gives back only sorrow

My obstreperous heart, still obscure
Is slipping in the oil slicks
I am falling, falling deeper than the earth’s core
Finally found its penitence

The Sabbath passes unnoticed
Holiness has been sabotaged
Everything desires a sacrifice but is not sacred
I have plummeted under this tyranny

The ultramarine shimmers from the sea
Is sending me on a vicious circle
Thrown into unseen battles
I cannot return the victor
My wisdom has fled leaving only wishful thinking
