Beautiful to You

by liVing lIes   May 2, 2005

When people look at me
they see a pretty face
little do they know
wheat lies beneath the ribbon and lace
a world of hurt and pain
drowned in an ocean of lies
surrounded by darkness and sorrow
muffling loud silent cries
when it is my beauty
being put to the test
no matter how hideous my opponents
i always finish second best
"it is not only outside
but the confidence within," they say
"you must be leveled inside and out
but she carries herself that way
no doubt she is a beauty
on the outside
with every body gesture
obviously there is something she hides
could it be a lost love
no one will ever know
an unfulfilling life perhaps
first she must let go
reagin her confidence
that was once there
rebuild her life upon new dreams
and release all her cares
she will always be beautiful
to everyone she meets
and become more radiant
with every bad memory she depletes."
