The Darkness Inside

by sHaTtErEdMiStAkE   May 5, 2005

Beneath the surface
I'm full of emptiness
I'm just a lonely teenager
Nothing more and nothing less.

A great pretender
Who allows myself to hide all of my feelings inside
Never forgetting the past
And how many times i have cried.

Scary thoughts
Circling around in my head
The blood seeping from my wrist
Caused by every empty lie you have said.

Trying to get rid of
All the pain I've already found
Feeling like my depression is getting worse
As my blood falling to the floor doesn't make a sound.

But as the night goes on
I push harder on the blade and think about suicide
Just trying to get rid of
All the darkness inside.
