Friends to what-?

All the steps I've taken
You've been there.
Helping me on my journey.

Sometimes I'm confused.
I think about you,
But differently.

I used to think
About us.
Us being friends.

But now, I think
What it would be like.
To hold you.

People call it a crush
But this feels,
So much deeper.

I just want
To be in your arms.
To be safe.

To know that everything
Is going to stay
Perfect forever.

I love you,
But is your love,
Too much too ask for?

All my poems are dedicated to my friends because they inspire me, and they mean the world to me. This is about one of them.
