Amidst the Shadow

Hiding in the Shadows
Is something we cannot see
Its heart is cold and merciless
Its always haunting me

I feel it wherever I go
I hear it call my name
But I cannot see what is in the shadows
I don't want to play this game

Maybe its just my imagination
Or maybe something is here
I don't know what it is
But it has me in stiches of fear

Sometimes I try to talk to it
Ask if its friend or foe
But I might never know what is truly there
What is truly hides amidst the shadoww
