Upon your shelf

by BrokenMisery   May 7, 2005

Light reflecting images in front of my eyes
Filtering glass with an image of despise
Dripping in ice with darkness of Hell
Lost and forgotten or can't you tell

Because I'm lost in a river, drowning so deep
Covered in blood from the pain I keep

How many tears can my eyes cry?
Hiding the pain I keep inside
You watch me hang myself
A forgotten memory upon your shelf.

Leaking liquid fire from my broken heart
I can not love now I'm fallen apart
You created a monster that ate me whole
Ripped me apart and took my soul

How many tears can my eyes cry?
Hiding the pain I keep inside
You watch me hang myself
A forgotten memory upon your shelf.

Squash me till my blood fills the ground
See my black insides spill down
Never know how much you hurt me
Never know because you can't see

Because I'm lost in a river, drowning so deep
Covered in blood from the pain I keep

A forgotten memory upon your shelf...

This is so unique and it moved me a lot. At first I couldn't realte to the shelf, but yet I think it fits perfectly to the whole poem. Espacially the third stanza is my fave one, I like your melodramatic style of writing, so keep it up.

Your visuals are magnificent, and this accompanied gore and morose in all of your poems exerts a live misery of your own...for only the author can paint a picture as acute of such somnolence.
This one is a great achievement to your library
