Living in Fantasy

by Lost Girl   May 8, 2005

Every moment is spent in fantasy
The only world that I ever knew
A world far away from painful reality
One created for only me and you
Skies brushed with gold dust
Oceans of sapphire shine
Clouds of cotton candy
Are in this fantasy of mine
Angel kisses on my pale cheeks
A crown of white roses on my head
So perfect in this fantasy
Impossible world to forget
Burn, burn, the fire’s embers die
Glowing amber against your heart
The ashes scatter like memories
As all I know falls apart
Hold my hand as you let me down
In this fantasy nothing can break me
One more night amongst the stars
Glisten bright against dull realities
Look into your eyes and I lose myself
In this fantasy undeserved to me
I am forever falling, cease to breathe
Forever lost, living in fantasy
