The girl is me

by nickie   May 8, 2005

It was about 13 years into her life. A girl who was always upset and in strife.

Everyone thought her life was perfect but if only they could see. Her life was as far from away form perfect as perfect could be.

She was always crying. Heart was always broken in two. Her friends tried to help her but there was nothing they could do.

She'd go to school with a smile trying to hide her pain but once she'd get home the tears would fall like rain.

People ask her how she was always happy but little did they know. She just looked at them and smiled and said "there's a lot i choose not to show."

She'd look in the mirror as sad as could be. She'd whisper to herself I give up I just don't want to be me.

Always sat in her room at night and would make a poem about everything that was on her mind. About her friends, people she loves, but mostly about how people are so blind.

She'd wake up for school the very next day. Put on her fake smile once more and pretend everything was OK.

She'd sit at school in sadness and would wonder if anyone would care if she ever just left and never returned there.

When she'd get home from school her eyes would start to tear. Her head filled with wonder. Her heart filled with fear.

Lifeless she lays there crying on her bed wondering if she could wake up in heaven instead.

If you think this story is scary and don't believe it's true be careful of what you say because it could have been you.

If you don't think is story is as real as could be well guess what you're wrong cause this 13 year old girl is me.

Please vote and comment it would really mean a lot to me. Thanks for reading. i hope you liked it.

I love the style you write in. I don't particularly like sad poetry, but I think you definitely reached me with this one. Spectacular job. :-)
