My Prison

by The Flame Within   May 9, 2005

Sleep reach me, make it go away
dont let me lay hear retracing the day

my heart yearns for peace, but is denied
thinking of when i failed even though i tried

im not sure what to do, i lay here thinking
waiting for something to happen as i stop blinking

my bed has become a trap, i cannot leave
life constrics my lungs as i try to breath

this jail hold me, my mind behind bars
as my heart continues to count its scars
