Pain of Me

by Harlequin[let me put you to sleep]   May 9, 2005

Driven into a broken world
Where tears always fall from my eyes
Dreaming dreams of happiness
Knowing in reality I’m not
Thinking only of my pain
Built up inside, like the tears built in my eyes
So easily my heart destroyed
Like paper burned to ash
My figure shrugged low
My head loomed down
My smile turned frown
My eyes cried shut
Curled to a ball on to the floor
Feeling naked, hopeless, and alone
Dying to break loose
Living to feel the pain
Holding on to what I believe in
Even though I have nothing left
Whispering with the people around me
And screaming to be heard
Smiling to hide the pain
And crying to let it out
Pain of me, stripping its way out side
To bear itself, strong and full of fear
All along I’ve been alone
Reaching for invisibility
