Alice had a purple bunny

by Lost Girl   May 10, 2005

Alice had a purple bunny
She’d had her since she was young
She’d loved her soft velvet ears
Her fluffy tail, white teeth, pink tongue

She took her bunny everywhere
To the park, the beach, the zoo
Bunny was stuffed in her school bag
Even sat by the bath and toilet too

Alice loved that purple bunny
It was more then just a toy
She loved her as a special friend
A bond couldn’t be destroyed

Alice grew tried of the bunny
Growing up, throwing toys away
Why exactly she felt differently
She couldn’t exactly say

Alice was cross with the bunny
Now it stared with an evil stare
Whenever unhappy things happened
F>>king bunny was always there

Alice poked the bunny with a pin
She scribbled on it with a pen
She slashed its velvet fur with a blade
Cutting it to pieces again and again

Alice hated the purple bunny
She really wanted it gone
It was childish, stupid and ugly now
But the ragged thing hung on

Alice laughed at the bunny
All its bunny bits falling apart
She thought about chucking it in the bin
But something stirred in her heart

Alice patched up the bunny
And put it at the back of a shelf
She reflected that life was funny
When you’re struggling with yourself

*believe it or not my mum wrote this, I would really appreciate it if you commented on it*
