With You Here

by girlii797   May 12, 2005

With you sitting next to me, the pressures of life I know I’ll endure. I’ll make it through, at least if I’m near you. The only thing I need right now is you. I feel safe in your arms. I know I can trust you with all my deepest secrets. I know you won’t criticize me. You won’t laugh; you’ll be there, to comfort my fears. With your gentle touch all my worries disappear. You’ll be here when I’m crying, when these pressures seem too great for me to bear. I know I can trust you.

There is one problem you aren’t here. You never have been. Although someday I hope there will be somebody like you. For all you are is a fictional person I have created to comfort myself.
