WhEn iT RaInS

As one our souls intertwined
But only I received the pain
And you walked away without a scratch
While my eyes cried rain

Though our hearts beat for one another
Yours wasn't as strong as mine
And I didn't understand what was wrong with me
Trying to figure out why

Captured to the core
Had me high on this thing called love
But you covered up those feelings
Like slipping on a make-pretend glove

Tormented for months by depression
For the hurt that I was warned you would bring
As these shadows of darkness cloud over me
And my past controls these puppet strings

Now having nothing at all
And left with nothing to gain
Just remember love's spell
For it's my tears when it rains....
