I Need To Escape

Someone stop the world from turning,
I need to escape this pain
This life I know has turned so cold
And each day is the same

This pain inside is too intense
For words to ever describe
I keep trying to run away from myself
But there is nowhere I can hide

And I know that nobody can save me now
Because I realise they never could
I've spent too many nights outstretched
Wishing that they would

There is no point in dressing this mess
And eating’s just one more chore
I’m getting so weak, unable to speak
Can’t stand this any more

Hey you, the one with all the smiles
Do you realise what you've got?
I guess for each winner, there’s a loser
Some shadow the world forgot

My bleeding hands are getting tired
From clinging to this last thread
For now I find I’m falling apart
Screaming alone inside my head

Today tears fall from a wilting flower
Drenched in crimson rain
