To Love (SJ)

by Superior Jackson   May 14, 2005

To love a man
who's love can't be returned
is like ripping the heart from your chest
throwing it into the fire
and watching it burn

To continue to love him
after the flames have died
is a test of true commitment
complete denial
or emotional suicide

To wait for him
although he may never be free
is to take chances in this lifetime
Live for today,
but love for an eternity
