I love you
I really do
Deep down inside me
I know that it is true

From the first day I laid eyes on you
To the day we broke apart
I did not know what to think of it
What happened to my heart?

I wish I could be with you
But you know that reasons we are not
I wish I could hold you
But right now there is just a lot

I have had a tough life
And I think you understand
Though maybe you can not relate
You can try to put things hand to hand

I see the way you look at me
The way you have that smile
But the things you have done to me
Might just put you in denial

But in return
I feel the same way
The way I hurt you
That very day

I hope you believe me
When I say I love you
Though we are not together
I still feel that way about you

I hope you can wait
And maybe help me through this
Though it might be awhile
To the next time we kiss

Maybe some day
We will be together forever
Who knows though
It could be never

I realize that you are mad
But I hope you did not lose trust in me
We are so very close
And I hope that you can see

Truly I think these breaks are helpful
They make us think
How much we really like each other
And that our hearts really can link

After all this time
I have felt the same way
Though sometimes it was less
But I just would not ever say

Apparently you never see
The way I have looked at you
The way my heart melts
When you do what you do

I lose all of my worries around you
Everything just fades away
When you put your hands on me
I can not think of anything more to say then hey

I feel so warm inside
When you hold me tight
Just when I cry around you
But I can say there is no fright

That day I was crying
You put your hand on me
And told me everything was all right
And to just let it be

The day we were talking
Our faces so close together
You said you can not do that
Will that be forever?

I hope soon
That everything will be all right
Between me and you
And we will not get in another fight

How could we even think that
We both were hurt
Apparently it never cam to us
As a major alert

We could still be together
But we are not
It has to do with both of us
But you are all that I got

I think it was the people
Telling me what to do
It affected our relationship
Even me and you

I shouldn’t have listened
To what others told me
They told me I could do better
But without you I could not ever be

So for you
I am writing this poem
I hope you understand
That I could not live without you here
