Hello Mommy

Hello Mommy,
I miss you so bad,
It’s been a whole year,
Since you left me and dad.

I don’t know why,
Daddy says its okay,
I am only seven,
But I will understand one day.

Daddy’s always sad,
But I don’t know why,
Because you’re right here,
But there are still tears in his eye.

I’ve learned a lot this year,
I learned to sing and dance,
I know you would see me,
If you only had a chance.

It’s kind of weird,
How I’m sitting talking to you,
And why daddy’s sitting on the bench,
I have no clue.

I wish you could come home,
And see my nice clean room,
And see the garden outside,
And the flowers that bloom.

I think its time to go,
But I don’t want to leave,
I hope I will see you soon,
Because in miracles I believe.

Daddy’s walking over,
With the prettiest rose,
And hands it to me,
But I don’t know were it goes.

Why you’re not coming with us,
Theirs no one to blame,
So I’ll place this red rose,
On the stone with your name.
