Taught to Live

by NK   May 23, 2005

You taught me what it means to live
Every fine detail, my life in your sift
You brought me happiness love and joy
To you i wasn't just a stupid boy.

We spent time together, as much as we could
And looking back if it were possible, more time we should
The days we spent the hours we talked
And even the times in silence we walked

Life you taught me, was not just a game
You you taught me, should have no shame
You have no idea how much help you gave
But the one thing you didn't notice, was the time i first shaved

Afterwards i tried to talk but nothing seemed to work
Without a reason to hate you month after month I hurt
You don't know what you still mean to me
After all you'll still always be

The one young girl who taught me to live
with every fine detail, running through your sift

even though she hasn't talked to me for quite a while, this is dedicated to Charlene who helped me through a rough spot in my life and didn't even know what she had done.. i only wish i could have been the solution not the problem to later circumstances
