I am...

by Ashleigh Skye   May 25, 2005

I am the number lower than one,
the only number who's not any fun,
the number of angels watching me cry,
I am a zero.

I am what you see,
when you close your eyes,
what you will feel the day I die,
I am nothing.

I am the toy that sits on the shelf,
the one left dusty on the edge,
the one two steps from being thrown out,
I am broken.

I am the pile of junk you see on the street,
the scraps of food people do not eat,
the smashed up chair without a seat,
I am worthless.

I am the battery that no longer works,
a team full of meaningless jerks,
what happens to vampires when the sun lurks,
I am dead.

Very creative way of going about the theme! Although I believe you are worth much more than you portrayed.

    God Bless.
