A Juxtaposition

by Shædow Poet   May 26, 2005

Irresistible, irascible
Maggots swarm my Godly heart.
I walk beneath the clouds-

Stubborn, supple
My hands clap with stench.
I breathe fresh air on mars-

Inadequate in intelligence
Nocturnal eyes, they’re blind.
The sun caresses the gloom-

A polarity of perversity
An innocence, it’s pure.
Picturesque malice-

Dream hell, nightmare peace
A varied universe.
Awake... or asleep?

I really admire this. Wonderful use of vocabulary and elaborated text. I especially love your symbols and how you tied in an imagery to pertain to the actual subject itself. I escpecially admired these lines,
    "A polarity of perversity
    An innocence, it’s pure.
    Picturesque malice-"
I love the contrasting thoughts and beauty which is tied into them. Excellent work
