True Love Is...

Love is a strong feeling that
you can have for many.
Many commonly mistake it to be more,
to be that true love so many of us strive for.

There is a difference though
between love and true love.
The feeling of true love far
surpasses that of any other.
It gives you wings and a warm
feeling that feels like a glove.

No fight can break this bond
and no other can replace the
deep feelings you feel for this other.
You go hand in hand with one another
and it's as if fate had always planned
for your souls to rise and mate together.

You would travel to the end of
the world for this lover if need be.
You can take comfort in knowing
that they adore you more than anything.
The thought of losing this soul mate
you could never ever bear.

Even though you have your arguments,
leaving each other neither of you could ever see.
In knowing that each one of you would sacrifice
yourself for the other gives you a feeling
of great security and serenity.

No matter what flaws your partner may
have you manage to see through them.
They matter not because to you they
help make this person perfect in every way.
You are able to be your true self and know
that they will love you beyond their dying day.
When you two are together there is an
extra twinkle in your eye and spark in your laugh.
The love you feel for them is hard not to see.
If you could, every one of their scars
you would mend.

And so although love is a gentle and
kind feeling, true love is the best kind.
Once you've felt it you'll wonder how
you could have ever mistaken it before.
When you meet that significant other,
that soul mate, you'll see that true love
is not at all hard to find.
