The Earth shattered

by Timothy   May 27, 2005

Today the Earth shattered,
But for some time it has been coming apart a piece at a time;
I have known of the coming cataclysm in my heart,
But I refused to see it in my mind.

It all blew away...
Like the dead leaves of autumn.

Today the Earth shattered,
Because the arguments have come to a halt;
This house is dead silent,
And I suffer even though this was both our fault.

It all washed away...
Like a sand castle built on the beach.

Today the Earth shattered,
The gambit has been dropped, the separation sword;
It's a finality without a retreat,
Because we could no longer find a way to say those "three words".

It all melted away...
Like an ice cube in the sun.

    beautifully written straight from the heart. I hope everything turns out OK. I read your profile first, and then this poem, and you are so right, it is really weird how life turns out sometimes, but just remember God is in control, and if you ask, you sall recieve, if only you believe....always in my prayers, you are truly a talented writter....Love ya Becky
