True friends

by Shantel   May 30, 2005

Pack your bags you’re going on a trip
A trip that is not near or far,
And at the end you will see who your true friends really are
At the beginning you meet two people
Who really just stand out
And through all of your trials and tribulations
they help you figure them out
You play you laugh you sing you cry
You do everything together
They always care they’re always there
In any kind of weather
They introduce you to knew people
whom without them you wouldn’t know
and even though they helped you through everything
you thinks its time they go
you make knew friends you play nice
you treat them better than gold
it seems like you’ve never heard the saying
make new friends but keep the old
even though you treat them bad
they are still there by your side
because they said no matter what
they are along for the ride
we are soon finishing our trip
we are soon at the end
no where in sight to be found
is your new best friend
the ride is done the trip has ended
you fake friends have decided to leave you
and now you are all by yourself
because of what you did do
maybe if you apologize
for all of your mistakes
they’ll be your friend they’ll protect you again
and make sure your heart no one breaks
but no your pride has gotten in the way
you're to prideful to say
"I’m sorry for what I did i know i was wrong i should have listened to you all along
next time ill try my best to see
that true friends will always be"
now you sitting all alone
all by yourself
next time you’ll know better than to
put your true friend on the shelf
