The Fragile

by Aidyn   Jun 1, 2005

Broken and crumpled
A sad, sad existence
A girl, no more than
A girl looks at her life

She looks to herself
Wishes she could tell
Tell everything
All her feelings

Say she loved herself

She looks at how far she's come
No farther.
No farther than the wind blows a curled leaf
A curled leaf in autumn

In a time of colours

She looks to the one she loved
To the one who stayed by her
To the one she wished she
Could reach out to

Funny how safety is so far away

She huddles into
Into herself
Her form, almost
Nearly camouflaged

In a rain-soaked sea

The rain, so like the tears
The fine droplets that gather
That gather and fall
And Fall

Like the leaves in autumn

She watches these
These leaves, this rain, the gust
Gust of wind
Wishes she could

Wishes for tears

She wished her tears could fall
Could fall and be noticed
Like the rain an the leaves
But she wasted

Wasted her tears

The day she died.
