Anyways...

by Aidyn   Apr 18, 2006

What is it you need?
Tell me your golden apprehension is worn and bent.
The crime of hunger only had to feed.
But hostility is heresy in my best intent.

Now tell me that you may have claimed to try.
I fought to say that I once could have found my way.
The burning flame sustained the blood and lies.
The children play, they wouldn't listen,

Anyways,

Tell me what it is that has not died.
I need to feel your breath to know that life is late.
It's been fun, but then, the public lies.
And stolen feelings never seem to duplicate.

Now tell me that you may have wondered why.
The bored ones say that there was once another way.
The burning alcohol is running dry.
But pigments never cease to listen out their stay.

And now, you may well find
I tried to say that I once could have found my way
Never stray, though it hurts to listen,

Anyways...

This is to go with music

I wrote this quite a while back, all spur-of-the-moment-like, stringing together things that may not have the most sense...The way I look at this one, it's about someone totally lost in love, who is struggling to find confidence.

Omagosh. aidyn, you have topped the topping cream on the cake,my friend.and yes, i wondered at the whole comment about the music being set to it; i think that would pull it all together and make the slight sing-songy type rhythm of the poem seem extra sparkly, if you see what i mean. the only thing is the whole 'listen out their stay' line. i'm not sure, but maybe you could replace 'out' with 'through' or something like that? i'm not sure i understand it. other n' that, a great big WOW to you.

I understand the spur-of-the-moment writing poetry/music thing! :) I LOVE that you shared some with your audience! :D
