Love Letter

by Naima   Jun 4, 2005

I love you I need you
To stay
Make love to me
Baby
My love for you
Is like any other
For you are my same sex lover
People thing that our love is wrong
Sometimes I think that I can't hold on but for so long
Love me Baby
Need Baby
Hold my hand
Don't let it go
For if you do
Who knows
People want to persecute us because of what we feel
Our love is real
Not some twisted perverse thing
I'm not pursuing some school fling
I wish I could wear your diamond ring
And not get badgered
Not be called a name
I wish people would look at us as the same
As those hetero couples
So the churches hate us
The want to change us
God made us this was
I'm not but if you are
Be proud
embrace it cause your are gay

Love is love regardless of sex, color, creed, and many shallow people's greed
We need to change this world for the better
So here is my love letter

Not much more to add to the other comments you have recieved on this poem. Some lines are again to long whilst others seem to short, which affects the flow and overall effect.

    Keep Writing
