Judas

Must you make my life so long?
What have I done that was so wrong?
All I did was be who I am...
...Not my fault I broke the Lamb.
See this rope within my hands?
I will rot in this dying land...
Empty desert far as can be...
Guess this rope's the last thing I'll see.
Demons cluttering my mind...so dim...
All I can see is hell's gate's rim...
Tree of death can be so sweet...
Just to get out from under God's feet.
So punish me! I killed your son!
Brought the cloud to cover the sun!
If you don't, I'll use this frayed rope!
Then...so be it, I forsake hope.
Clouds are tearing, making roars
I'll soon lay on eternity's shores...
I want to die from this cursed earth...
Why, oh why God!? This stolen mirth!
I betrayed with a kiss so coniving...
...Saw as the soldiers in the garden was arriving...
saw you heal one's broken ear...
...Then with that came my shuddering tears...
Hate me, you must...this evil I planned...
No wonder from heaven, you must have be banned...
I do not blame you...I committed this sin...
...I know that your love I cannot win.
So with this rope...I pray recompense...
And for this rope, a hope for penance.

Judas hung on the tree of death...
Facing the dying sun...
Even though he killed Jesus...
God's love...he still has won.
