Thank You

The wind rustles my hair
As I sit in a field alone,
I tried to call you name
But nobody was home.

One time I was happy
At one time you were my man,
But the reason for leaving me
Is something that I'll never understand.

Unknown truth out there
Waiting to be discovered,
Broken hearts out there
Waiting to be recovered.

I thought I was ready for love
What did I know,
I want to hold those days of us forever
But I have to let them go.

Though our time together was short
In my eyes it was Heaven,
I wish we could go back in time
To all the good times then.

Everyday I get stronger
I know I can make it through,
And for all the happiness you once gave me
I want to thank you.
