Alone at that dance

Promotion dance,
Nice shirt and pants.
A dress for me,
I wish i was pretty.
I wanted a date,
Now its too late.
No one wanted to be with me,
Because I'm not pretty.
Dance has arrived,
wish i wasn't deprived.
I want to dance with this guy,
who's so sly, but I'm so shy.
The dance is done,
It wasn't any fun.
No one danced with me,
I'm just plain and ugly,
I go home alone,
My heart colder then stone.
Promotion dance is over.

    Don't be so down on yourself! I'm sure you are not "just plain and ugly" like you say, but beautiful! Dances are way overrated anyway. I've had bad experiences with them too. Take care.
