The circle of life

by A Metaphorical Beauty   Jun 8, 2005

Here we go again in this roundabout game,
The nastiness starts up and now i give up,
Anyone else they would ignore their flaws,
But when it gets to me it'slike the third world war,
Nobody's perfect i try to say,
But they don't listen because I'm that shadow of yesterday,
I keep my mouth closed, i have too much to say,
Cos once i start i cannot stop, may not see another day,
Inside i know their shallow and insecure,
But their immature comments are hard to ignore,
Get me out of here my head is screaming,
Heart is pounding now that i see them beaming,
My eyes start stinging but i will not cry,
Because i know that is weakness in your eyes,
People say that it is envy but why envy me?
I'm nothing special, just let me be,
I am off to school in a few minutes now,
And hopefully I'll get through this day somehow.
